Outrageous Wellness Podcast is Back!

Last December (it’s now 2025!) I rebooted the Outrageous Wellness podcast, and we have published several episodes so far. Please check them out, and here is an overview of the episode on fear and spirituality.

In the latest episode of Outrageous Wellness, we (myself and Sherry White) embark on an insightful exploration of a profoundly emotional topic: fear and its intricate connection to spirituality. By intertwining our expertise in psychology, energy healing, and human design, we delve into how fear can often serve as an invisible barrier that impedes personal and spiritual growth. The discussion opens with a candid acknowledgment of common struggles surrounding fear and anxiety, especially in today’s fast-paced society. We highlight how fear, a fundamental aspect of human biology and survival, is often experienced as anxiety, causing many individuals to feel trapped in a cycle that stifles their development.

One key point raised during the episode is the dichotomy between rational fear and irrational fear. While rational fears—such as the instinctive response to potential danger—are necessary for survival, irrational fears often emerge from past traumas or societal conditioning. They manifest in various forms, such as fear of rejection, loss, or abandonment, and can be compounded by unresolved grief or childhood trauma. We encourage listeners to identify these fears and reflect on how they influence interactions with the world.

We unpack the impact of fear on the subconscious, discussing how it can reside within the body’s muscle memory, particularly in areas such as the psoas. We argue that without addressing these deep-seated fears, individuals are likely to remain in a state of anxiety, leading to a host of physical and emotional issues. Moreover, we explore the significance of spirituality in this context, positing that a strong spiritual connection can serve as a protective shield against fear. By engaging in spiritual practices such as meditation, prayer, or contemplation, individuals may transform their understanding of fear into a means of personal and spiritual development.

The episode also sheds light on the concept of ancestral trauma, emphasizing that inherited fears and emotional responses can span generations. We remind listeners that healing this ancestral baggage is crucial for breaking the cycle of fear and anxiety that often plagues family lines, and we offer insights on how one can work through these inherited issues, thereby creating a more liberated existence.

During the conversation, we discuss the importance of community support, particularly for women, in navigating fears and spiritual challenges. By coming together with like-minded individuals, listeners can cultivate a collective strength that helps raise their vibrational frequency, combating the negative effects of fear and societal anxiety. The episode closes with the assertion that fear can be both a barrier and a teacher, encouraging individuals to embrace the lessons that come from facing their fears head-on.

The conversation is rich, layered, and full of profound insights, encouraging listeners to contemplate their relationship with fear and nurture their spirituality as a means of overcoming it. Sherry and I strongly believe that through this process, individuals can find empowerment and transformation, allowing them to live more fully and authentically. This episode serves as a vital reminder that fear, while often daunting, can lead to profound personal growth when approached with openness and courage.
